Tammy's approach to therapy is systemic and focuses on attachment, connection, and explorations of patterns and beliefs. She believes the way people interact with the world is guided by early family relationships. Tammy frequently observes how patterns of interaction pass down through the generations and play out in adult relationships with children, partners, friends, and co-workers. She believe that attending to relationships is a key to improving mental health, to improving interactions with other people, and to addressing many individual problems with living.
Tammy received her masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul and is a certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator. She has been trained as a mediator, is a Licensed Practical Nurse, and is a Licensed Local Pastor in the United Methodist Church. "I believe in a holistic and collaborative approach to therapy and the importance of the mind-body-spirit connection. I have a passion for inspiring others to live a wholehearted life by increasing self-awareness, self compassion, and making meaningful connections."
